Just a few comments of the many received from past students.

"I finished my training with Graham in November 02 and officiated my first function soon afterwards. In my first year I officiated 30 weddings, 2 ladies nights and a formal dinner and my bookings have grown annually ever since. I am now established as a City of London Beadle and Toastmaster employed by four livery companies and regularly officiate ad-hoc for a number of others at the livery halls around the City including the Guildhall and Mansion House. I still officiate at numerous weddings, ladies festivals and corporate events around the country. I should have done the training years ago."
Ian from Kent

Although I have for many years been able to hold the attention of others when presenting, especially in a period costume for the 13th Century Castle I worked for; being in the 'RED Jacket' professionally presenting for any occasion certainly creates intrigue/mystery and control........... especially here in Spain.
Sybil from Spain

'All my life I had been involved in organising and running functions for colleagues and charity events. No one ever taught me what to do I just did it and I got by. What Graham did for me was to show me the tradition, the etiquette, the proper way to do things and explain the reason for doing them and gave me the confidence to tackle bigger jobs and do them in a professional manner. Don’t get me wrong I still sometimes bend the rules but at least I know what they are and I couldn’t have said that before I attended the school.'
Chris (BEM) from Warrington

Preparation, preparation, prepara................Improvisation !!!!!!!
So many the performances discharged,
So great the understanding gained,
Each one striving to be better.
So little the knowledge retained.
Even though I really enjoy each assignment,
I don my red coat, for attention, rap the gavel,
however just when shall I achieve perfection ?

Ivor from West Midlands.

At the time that I applied to join the 2004 course, at the age of 60, both my wife, Elisabeth, and I had been made redundant from our respective employers and were facing a very bleak future. By taking the course and becoming a professional toastmaster new horizons were opened. Various venues in my area decided to “take me on” either as their recommended or resident toastmaster and I have not looked back. Whilst 2009 has not been a particularly prosperous year due to the recession I have already opened negotiations with two local venues and am optimistic that business will improve during 2010. It is superb doing a job that I love AND being paid for it!
Mark. from Berks.

Certainly by far the best investment I have ever made. The knowledge and confidence gained from Graham and the UKSPT course has enabled me to approach the Toastmaster/Master of Ceremonies business in a dignified and professional manner.
The UKSPT course provided me with a firm foundation and understanding of the various protocols and traditions which with time and experience I have built on.
Furthermore the satisfaction of a job well done at the end of the day, knowing that you have provided your client with a caring service that has enhanced their function, receiving their gratitude and being financially rewarded, it just doesn’t get any better. For anyone seriously considering becoming a professional toastmaster the UKSPT course is a must.
